Sushant Singh Rajput to play Detective Byomkesh Bakshi the Indian version of Sherlock Helmes

Byomkesh Bakshi is a fictional detective in Bengali literature created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. He is one of the most successful detective characters in Bengali Literature . Dibakar Banerjee who has directed several films like Love Sex Aur Dhoka  , Khosla Ka Doshla & Oye Lucky Lucky Oye is all set to bring the Byomkesh Bakshi to the big screen . The film stars  Sushant Singh Rajput , Anand Tiwari & Swastika Mukherjee . The film is based on famous Indian T.V serial where  Uttam Kumar played the role of Detective Byomkesh Bakshi . Satyajit Ray was the director of the serial . Actor Uttam Kumar and director Satyajit Ray both won the National Award for the serial . Sushant Singh Rajput who is playing the role of Detective Byomkesh Bakshi will be seen solving some mystery in the film . The character Detective Byomkesh Bakshi is very well know in the west bengl as it was telecast as a TV serial  on Doordarshan (1993, 1997) . The serial was full of mystery. I can say it is the Indian version of  Sherlock Helmes .The film will release under   the banner of Yash Raj Films & Dibakar Banerjee Productions . The film is all set to hit the big screen  on 13 Feb 2015 .

Sushant Singh Rajput the young actor will be seen in a never seen before look . In the first look poster  he is in a totally unrecognizable look . It seems like he has prepered well for the film . Now , Its time to wait for the film release & see that he would be able to create the magic Uttam Kumar created or not . It will be very challenging for him because Uttam Kumar won National Award for the role . Lets see if he can play the role perfectly  or not .
