This Friday only one major film is releasing at the cinemas and expected to win the heart of critics and audiences alike. Mary Kom staring Priyanka Chopra in the title roll as the Olympic bronze medal winner boxer.
Priyanaka Chopra isn't a new face in women centric film, to be honest she is actually the first actress of new generation who shows that you can make some box office coins with a good film that doesn't have a established male actor. the film in question is fashion. since than six years have passed and we have got such films like Kahani, English Vinglish, the dirty picture , heroine, queen........ which continues the trend.
Of course there are also duds like "Whats Your Rashee", "Dedh Ishqiya ", Lafange Parinde. but there's reason to expect that Mary Kom will follow the former group. from the day of announcement, the film was the subject of curiosity which sky rocketed to the sky after the first look and trailer were released. there was appreciation from every corner. the soundtrack wasn't a hit but it definitely bends nicely with the film"s theme. after that Priyanka Chopra had done a huge promotion for it.
Yes, we know how much a women centric film can go. actually none of the above mentioned film opened too well. but according to box office India Mary Kom is getting a huge release which is unexpected. early reviews also suggests a great film.
